BENEFITS:

Consuming castor oil in moderate amounts is an ancient custom in many households and has various benefits. It helps in:

- Constipation:

Taking 1 spoon of castor oil at night before sleeping can really help clear your stomach completely. Castor oil has the ability to expel all waste and excrete it from your body within a few hours. 

- Gastritis/ Hiatal Hernia/ IBS/ Acid Reflux

Castor oil is an anti inflammatory agent and a great moisturiser - due to a high content of ricinoleic acid. In the conditions listed above the stomach and intestinal lining are usually inflamed. Consuming castor oil can help relieve the inflammation, clear the bowels and get rid of any unhealthy gut microflora and provide relief in said conditions. Combined with Grocare kits, castor oil works very effectively. 

- Ulcers

In cases where there are intestinal or stomach ulcers, castor oil can provide relief and help heal the wound faster. 

- Anti Inflammatory

Ricinoleic acid, the main fat found in castor oil, has anti-inflammatory properties. Studies have shown that castor oil reduces inflammation and relieves pain.

The pain-reducing and anti-inflammatory qualities of castor oil may be helpful to those with an inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis or psoriasis.

- Anti Fungal 

Castor oil has antifungal properties that can help heal against stubborn infections such as candida albicans. This is an opportunistic fungus common in many conditions such as IBS, gum bleeding, yeast infections, Gastritis and diabetes. Studies have shown castor oil is effective in controlling this infection. 

DOSAGE:

Take 1 tablespoon of castor oil 1-2 hours after a light dinner at night for constipation or as directed. You can also mix the castor oil in a glass of warm water/ milk and consume.

While taking castor oil initially, you may experience mild bloating for a few days. This is normal and will eventually subside after which you will feel better. It takes 4 - 8 weeks to work properly. We recommend to consume for 3 - 4 months or as directed.
